UBL Funds plants hundreds of trees in Karachi
UBL Funds as an organization is a staunch believer in giving back to the society and takes its corporate social responsibility seriously. Amongst championing various causes under the umbrella of education, health and environment; the employees of UBL Funds regularly step out to plant trees at various locations across the city.
This year too, UBL Funds has started its plantation drive by planting 100 trees at the Karachi Airport (Jinnah Terminal) in collaboration with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and World Wildlife Federation (WWF) Pakistan.
The plantation and the following ceremony was attended by the CEO, Heads of Departments and several other volunteering employees of UBL Funds along with senior representatives of CAA and WWF Pakistan.
CEO, Mr. Mir Muhammad Ali during the plantation said, “Every individual & corporation needs to make efforts to reduce the carbon footprint and dearth of greenery in Karachi as it could result in dire consequences for the citizens.” He also said “We are not just ensuring that we get our employees and their families to plant at least one tree every year but are also working towards making our company paperless.”
Employees of UBL funds and their children will be planting at least one tree per person across various locations in Karachi in the next few days in collaboration with CBC, DHA and WWF Pakistan.
